American Brendan Steele has held off a fast-finishing Louis Oosthuizen for a one-shot win at LIV Golf's Adelaide tournament.

Steele finished 18-under-par at the Grange Golf Club after firing a 4-under 68 in the final round. Oosthuizen, who started the day three shots behind Steele, closed with a 6-under 66 to finish one shot behind.

It was Steele's first win on the LIV Golf tour, and his first victory on any tour since the 2017 Safeway Open. The win is a big boost for Steele, who has struggled with his form in recent years.

Steele, who didn't begin playing golf until he was 13 years old, has managed to put together an impressive professional career with 10 worldwide victories in approximately 400 career starts.
