Celebrity chef Marcus Wareing talks to GQ about picking a fight with Gordon Ramsay and why he no longer wanted to be kept in the shadows

When I ask which chef has made the biggest impact on his career though he doesn't skip a beat.

According to a GQ piece, Wareing worked with Ramsay in the past. He says about Ramsay, "I love the guy, but I think I also needed to have a fight with him to become my own chef. I was kind of in his shadow for a little while. And I think that made me grow up very quickly."

Wareing also says that he no longer wants to be kept in the shadows. He says, "I'm not interested in being the next Gordon Ramsay. I'm interested in being Marcus Wareing."

It's clear that Wareing is a talented chef with a lot of ambition. It will be interesting to see what he accomplishes in the future.
