Joe Burrow, the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback, has signed a five-year contract extension worth $275 million, making him the highest-paid player in NFL history. The deal, signed on September 9, 2023, includes $219.01 million in guarantees.
The extension brings Burrow's fully guaranteed money to $146.509 million, which he will earn through 2025. This is the largest amount of fully guaranteed money ever given to an NFL player.
Burrow's contract also includes a $40 million signing bonus and an average annual salary of $55 million.
